Our 2024-28 Strategic Plan
Our North Star.
To guide us into the future, we thoughtfully developed a plan for how Girl Scouts San Diego will continue to have a positive impact for San Diego and Imperial counties. Here is our strategic vision and goals for the next three to five years. It is a roadmap to guide our organization as we continue to empower girls, build future leaders, and make a lasting impact in our community.
How we got here.
In developing this plan, we evaluated Girl Scout trends and demographic data, conducted more than 20 key stakeholder interviews, held listening sessions with volunteers, girls, and staff, and hosted multiple planning sessions with the senior management team, board of directors, and strategic planning committee. Thank you to everyone who leaned in to support this research!
Mission and Vision.
We are proud to continue serving the Girl Scouts mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Our strategic vision is to be viewed and valued as the go-to partner for developing and elevating girl and women leaders in San Diego and Imperial counties. Beyond traditional leadership development, our relevant programs and experiences foster a sense of well-being in girls, so they are well-rounded individuals poised for success in life.
Our four strategic initiatives:
Elevate inclusion and access to grow impact for girls in the region. 
Enhance and leverage our partnerships with communities and organizations.
Support and develop our team of staff and volunteers to enhance the Girl Scout experience.
Strengthen the organization and prepare it for the future.
Girl Scouts San Diego has set big goals for the next five years, and as we move forward with the implementation of these strategic initiatives, we look forward to collaborating with our community of champions!
